Some people claim the “old covenant” laws and commandments were done away with – even nailed to the cross. Others claim to be “New Testament Christians” only – referring to teaching exclusively from the corpus of the New Testament books. The difference between the two testaments is actually very simple to illustrate: Imagine if you cancelled your cell phone contract with company A. A month later you change your mind and establish a new contract with the same company. Your terms and conditions are the same, but the contract is different. This is the same idea between the two testaments: the terms and conditions are the same (the laws and commandments) but the contracts are different.
